Samsung seems to be on a roll these days with its new and improved tablet offerings. One of its latest slates, the Galaxy Tab 3 211, packs in quite a punch with its functionality and might be right up your alley. We tell you everything you need to know about the device.
Samsung has built the Galaxy Tab 3 211 around a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and Android's 4.1 version of the Jelly Bean operating system. The tablet runs on a 4,000 mAh battery and sports a thickness of 9.9mm and a weight of 306g.
The slate is equipped with a 7-inch TFT LCD capacitive touch screen display, a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels and a pixel density of 169ppi. It packs in 8 GB of internal storage which is further expandable with a microSD card by up to 32 GB externally. Samsung has also given it 1 GB of RAM.
Pre-loaded applications on the tablet include My Education, My Offers, My Games, My Music and My Movies. Users have access to 2000 e-books, 1000 learning videos, preparatory material for entrance exams, 25 educational games, 20 HD games, 5,00,000 songs and trailers, videos and movies from over 2000+ selected catalogues.
The Galaxy Tab 3 211 ships with two cameras on board, a primary rear facing 3-megapixel one with a fixed focus and a secondary front facing 1.3-megapixel one. The tablet comes with a host of connectivity options as well, including voice calling, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, 3G HSPA+, GPS and GLONASS.
Samsung's new slate is available in white for Rs. 17,745 and will start retailing across India on Sunday, July 21. The brown variant of the tablet should be ready for shipping sometime soon as well. Samsung and Vodafone have paired up to offer customers who buy the tablet 2 GB of free data (on Vodafone) per month for 2 months.
