Samsung recently launched it much hyped smartphone the Samsung Wave. The device has garnered quite a lot of attention from both mobile users and media for being the first smartphone from the samsung stable to run on their own proprietary operating system – bada.  Well that's not the only 'first time feature'  that Wave brings to the table.

The device is also the first DivX HD certified phone, the first Bluetooth 3.0 enabled device, first one to introduce Super AMOLED screen and the first smartphone to feature the latest Picsel File Viewer.

This ultra light device weighs just 118g and comes in the dimensions of 118x56x10.9mm. Boasting of  a Super AMOLED screen and powered by a 1GHz hummingbird processor, Samsung Wave admittedly is a quite a style stunner. Wave comes equipped with a integrated social hub which enables integration of all the major portals like the emTail, and SNS services.

Probably one of the best designed devices from the Samsung labs we have spotted so far, the Wave also comes with a highly customizable menu option thanks to its amazing TouchWis 3.0 user interface.

Providing users with a very tactile and intuitive user experience and a host of other features like new features Multiwidgets, pinch and zoom option, makes Wave a impressive device to have.

The global leader in telecommunication, Samsung define their latest OS system - Bada a korean word for ocean as a simple, efficient system with a intuitive UI which will provide mobile users with a greater creativity than before. Bada is a ‘open’ mobile platform, which basically means that developers have access to create new applications with ease.

Samsung Wave is quite a sleek device that comes with a stunning Super AMOLED screen display. Impressively enough, the screen continues to look stunning even when it switched off. Now how many devices you know that can pull that off.

The stellar bada-powered phone makes for a sturdy feel and its metallic finish adds to the style quotient of the phone. To those who are new to the amoled screen will be in for treat. AMOLED aka active matrix organic light-emitting diode technology is basically a thin, bright display technology that doesn't require backlighting. If you wondering how does that translate into a amazing experience, let us explain.

As there are no backlight, colors appear to be brighter whereas the blacks are truer as the backlight is absent to wash out the colors. The amoled works by having a thin film transistor (TFT) layer consisting of an array of OLED pixels that form a matrix.

What is interesting is the fact that the TFT array continuously controls the current that flows to the pixels, and signals each pixel how brightly it should shine.

Fascinating? Wait till you actually see the  3.3-inch 480 x 800 pixel touchscreen which jumps to life, displaying colors and contours in utmost details, clarity and vibrancy.
