Top 10 free iPhone apps for you to download
Published on Dec 24, 2010
If you've just bought a new iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch, you'll probably be searching for some great apps to download to your Apple device.
We bring you the best and Top 10 free apps for you to download from the App Store at the moment.
Kindle
Although Apple created its own eBook reader in the form of iBooks, We prefer the Kindle app for iPhone.
The interface is clearer and there's a whole lot more on offer - 750,000 books in total, ready for download.
Books are also cheaper to download in comparison to iBooks - a clear winner in the eBook category.

Word Lens
Word Lens has hit the world by storm. The app takes words you hover over with the iPhone/iPod Touch's camera and reverses them.
Although there doesn't seem to be much use for this app, it's really cool.
If you decide to pay for the upgrade, you can view translations of the text in front of you.
It's very, very clever and shows just where augmented reality is going.

Sky+
If you're a Sky subscriber, Sky+ should be one of the first apps you download.
You can view all the TV listings and if you want to record it, just log in and tap the record button.
We found it's best to leave around an hour minimum to ensure the programme will record, but it's still a fantastic app and has never failed us - yet!

There are so many Twitter apps available on the App Store, but we love the official Twitter app.
It may not be as fully-featured as third parties, but even the Twitter website itself doesn't offer everything the likes of Tweetdeck and Seismic do.
It allows you to have multiple accounts set up, receive full push notifications and has a pretty smooth, unfussy interface. Best of all? It's free!
