Asus Transformer Specifications

Asus is a company known for it’s unique and innovative products, but it has been hot news ever since it announced the launch of the Transformer 2 – a tablet equipped with the world’s most powerful processor for tablets – the Tegra 3 quad-core processor along with Google’s new operating system – the Ice Cream Sandwich OS.

While everyone is waiting for the Transformer 2 with bated breaths, we provide you a quick view of the current Transformer tablet.

The Transformer is one of the most dynamic and efficient tablets in the market today. It has a 10.1-inch WXGA touchscreen equipped with a 1280 x800 pixel resolution. It runs on the NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core processor. Along with that, it is equipped with a 5-megapixel primary camera along with a 1.2-megapixel secondary camera.

The Transformer runs on Google’s latest operating system – the Honeycomb OS. Along with that, it offers Wi-Fi 802.1.1 b/g/n and Bluetooth. But, that’s not all. The Transformer is equipped with stereo speakers and dual USB ports. Along with that, it is powered by 1 GB of RAM and provides 16/32 GB storage options. In addition to all these features, the Transformer also comes with a 1-year free subscription for Asus’ Cloud.

But what intrigued us about the Transformer, also called the TF101, was it’s detachable keyboard dock. Asus has provided a unique feature with this tablet in the form of the keyboard dock. The keyboard dock of the transformer converts it to a netbook as soon as you attach the keyboard dock.

Not only that, the keyboard dock also act as an alternate battery. So, if you are running out of battery, you can simply put the transformer into the dock and you get twice as much power out of the same device.
