How to install a new keyboard on the HTC Incredible S

If you have a android one, you know it is cool. And among the host of amazing features that the phone contains one of them is the numerous keyboard options.

The default setting of the HTC Incredible S is that of the multi-touch keyboard, but if you are in a mood for something different, the options are unlimited. 

To begin with you first need to install some new keyboards.As we have mentioned that there are many different options when it comes to Android keyboards.

So take your time and play around with them till you zero in on something that fits you best.

One of the option is that of 'better keyboard' which comes with a plethora of skins collection and option of further customizing and fine tuning the keyboard.

Another option is SwiftKey which provides impressive word prediction, including a feature that predicts the next word you haven't even begun to type yet.

Now to make the big switch, you need to simply:


1. Tap the applications launcher

2. Scroll over and tap Settings

3. In the settings menu, scroll down and tap Language & keyboard

If you have a custom keyboard installed, you will see an option to toggle it on and off with a check box. In order to have it appear as a selection, the box next to your myTouch keyboard must be checked.

4. Tap on Input method

5. Find the name of the keyboard you want to activate, and tap on it.

7. Check for activation by pressing the search key. The new keyboard should pop up.

Now you are all set to use your new keyboard.
