Sony's latest Android quad-core mid-ranger, Xperia C now available online for Rs 20,490 with free Sony headphone worth Rs 1,490

We have witnessed a slew of good looking, affordable, functional as well as premium handsets from the Sony stable in the past few months. The launch spree continues with the company adding its latest Android mid-ranger - a dual SIM and quad-core delight - Xperia C to its portfolio.

The newbie handset comes armed with a 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589 processor - which also makes it the company's first device to support the MediaTek SoC chipset along with the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean goodness.

Originally announced in June, the device packs onboard a  5-inch display with a 960 x 540 pixels resolution and a pixel density of 220ppi along with an 8-megapixel primary camera and a 0.3-megapixel front facing secondary snapper.

The presence of Exmor R sensor brings the ability to capture 1080p HD video. Other goodies that aid in the camera department include LED flash, auto focus, geo-tagging, touch focus, HDR, face and smile detection.

On the storage front, the device houses 4GB of internal storage with scope of expansion via microSD card slot. The connectivity is taken care of by 3G, GPS, Bluetooth, GPRS, EDGE and Wi-Fi.

Sony Xperia C is available on Saholic for Rs 20,490 ( with EMI starting at Rs. 1313 pm) along with a pair of free Sony Headphone (MDR-ZX100A) worth Rs 1,490.

Sony Xperia C will be seen competing with Samsung’s Galaxy Grand Duos, Micromax Canvas 4 along with other Android powerhouses.
