The Elm ships in with a boat load of useful applications and features such as location services, games, calendar, email, RSS Feeds, web browser and even an organiser.
Elm also has a unique provision for mobile users which makes it easier for them to move from an old phone to Elm effortlessly. Now using Elm you can transfer your old phonebook, contacts, calendar, notes and bookmarks to Elm easily irrespective of your previous make up of the phone.
Another amazing feature of the Elm is its music recognition feature. Ever found yourself humming a tune that you can't get the name of and neither can you get that out of your mind. Well now all you need to do is record a few seconds of music and Track ID powered by gracenote Mobile music ID will do the rest. Amazingly the software returns the songs name, artist and album to your phone within minutes.
Another impressive feature of Elm is its noise shield filters.
You know they say that you have to make yourself heard in the world out there - quite literally specially if you are standing on a busy road or in a restaurant. Now with Elm's noise shield filters, which simply filters out the sound around you, you can make yourself audible.
In addition to this, there are also built in apps for Facebook, NearMe, Twitter and YouTube so you can always stay connected with things that matter the most like where is the party happening tonight? Elm also comes preloaded with a widget manager which basically lets you toggle between your widgets in stand by mode too.
Some of the additional useful apps include pictbridge which you can use to send your images straight from your phone to the printer, wisepilot for the turn-by turn navigation, a walk mate to
count the number of steps, and also a Sony Ericsson sync which enables you to access as well as manage an up-to date information on your mobile phone.
Elm's battery life is quite impressive and offers a talk time upto 10 hours for GSM and stand by time for 430 hours. The device has a MicroSD support upto 16GB and a phone memory upto 280 MB. There is room for expansion till up to 8GB, which makes ample, room for music, video, documents and more.
